We lost our best friend today. Our red standard dachshund of 8 years. She had a very large tumor on her spleen. She was alpha dog in our pack of three. We will miss her curling up in our laps or crawling under the blankets. We love you Farrah and will see you in heaven.

I lost my Pug after a battle with cancer. She was my best friend and it is still hard to think about her without crying. She was by far one of a kind. RIP Pugita. Love Mom

I hope there is such a place as "Doggie Heaven" because if a dog deserves to be there, our beautiful yellow lab Toby does. Toby died in his sleep at the Mansfield Animal Hospital March 19th. He was almost 12 years old and was the perfect family dog since we got him as the cutest puppy on Labor Day, 1997.

Although recently he was feeling his age, it was only 6 weeks ago, in early February that he started losing some of his abilities, namely the use of his back legs. After treatment and a short time in the hospital, Toby improved, but never fully recovered all his strength. Always the perfect dog, Toby gave us this time to get use to the idea that he was coming to the end of his life. He also spared me the dreaded act of having to put him "to sleep". When he totally loss the use of his legs and he had stopped eating, we took him to the hospital. He did not appear to be in any pain and he did not linger and died peacefully in his sleep two days later.

Everybody who knew Toby could not help but like him. He was a very handsome dog and always a gentleman. He was so social, gentle and friendly beyond all things. All he wanted to do was please. He didn't bother you if you didn't want him to, but was always happy to see you and maybe favor you with a welcoming lick and paw shake.

So Toby, I hope you are in Doggie Heaven running free and playing with lots of other dogs as you loved to do here on earth. You gave our family so many happy memories. You were my best bud, my sweet dog. I love you and miss you and I will never, never forget you.
